In questo testo scritto di getto, Pasolini ci parla con le voci di quegli italiani che nel secondo dopoguerra attraversavano illegalmente il confine per raggiungere la Jugoslavia, stremati dalla povertà e attratti dal comunismo e dalla speranza di un lavoro dignitoso e di cibo per tutti. Scritto prima di Ragazzi di vita e di Una vita violenta, ma pubblicato solo nel 1962, Il sogno di una cosa è al tempo stesso il romanzo d’esordio e l’ultima tappa della stagione narrativa di Pasolini. Germano e Teardo lo riportano all’attenzione collettiva in una versione fatta di parole e musica. |
