28/11/2024 from 21:00 Taranto (TA) Teatro FuscoEra il 29 novembre 1924 quando la morte colse Giacomo Puccini a soli 65 anni. Il celebre compositore italiano si trovava a Bruxelles per tentare di curare un tumore alla gola che, purtroppo, non gli lasciò scampo, impedendogli anche di completare le ultime due scene di “Turandot” opera in tre atti su libretto di Giuseppe Adami e Renato Simoni.
La “Turandot” sarà rappresentata postuma, con la direzione del Maestro Arturo Toscanini, il 25 aprile 1926, al Teatro alla Scala di Milano.
Considerato uno dei maggiori e più significativi operisti di tutti i tempi, Puccini sviluppò con successo il suo lavoro in una direzione personale, includendo alcuni temi propri del Verismo musicale e un certo gusto per l’esotismo; dedicandosi allo studio dell’opera di Richard Wagner sotto il profilo armonico e orchestrale, approfondendo l’uso della tecnica del leitmotiv.
Il giovane Puccini ricevette la formazione musicale presso il conservatorio di Milano, sotto la guida di maestri come Antonio Bazzini e Amilcare Ponchielli; nel celebre istituto meneghino il nostro ebbe anche modo di conoscere e frequentare Pietro Mascagni.
Le opere più famose di Giacomo Puccini, considerate di repertorio per i maggiori teatri del mondo, sono La bohème (1896), Tosca (1900), Madama Butterfly (1904) e Turandot (1926).
Nel centenario della scomparsa, gli Amici della Musica gli dedicano una serata che vedrà uno dei maggiori tenori al mondo interprete delle opere del grande compositore.

Tickets purchases by credit card must be completed within a maximum of 9 minutes,
