20/10/2024 from 21:00 to 22:00 Catania (CT) FabbricateatroLa Papessa: educazione alla Libertà è un monologo teatrale tinto di umorismo nero che indaga il proliferare di credi e pratiche eretiche nella Milano del XIII secolo, in particolare il gruppo eretico guglielmita. Questo culto eretico venerava la figura di Guglielma la Boema, considerata l’incarnazione dello Spirito Santo in un corpo femminile. Una credenza che già di per sé portava dritta al rogo, ma aggravata dal fatto che Guglielma nominò come sua vicaria in terra Suor Maifreda Pirovano: la Papessa.
Queste due mistiche proclamavano l’arrivo di una nuova era guidata dalle donne, un’epoca in cui ogni individuo, qualunque fosse il suo credo o sesso, sarebbe stato salvato grazie al Femminile. Una vera eresia femminista ante-litteram che mise al centro le donne – ostracizzate e demonizzate al pari di tutto il Femminile – all’interno di una società che le avrebbe presto perseguitate.
Questo monologo è raccontato attraverso gli occhi e le avventure di Everywoman, anima semplice e ricercatrice che, eresia dopo eresia, trova rifugio nel culto guglielmita. Gli altri personaggi sono: Sybille, socialite (va in corsivo) medievale, che introduce l'amica Everywoman a tutte le eresie in voga nella Milano del '200.; la Papessa, suor Maifreda, donna che ha fatto della sua fede una battaglia politica, creando per sé, in quanto donna un ruolo sociale nuovo, al di fuori della dualità del suo tempo; e, infine, l'Inquisitore, uomo becero e abbietto, piegato al volere del suo Padrone pur di non avere problemi e condurre un'esistenza tranquilla. L'inquisitore, assieme a Sybille, sono i personaggi che maggiormente veicolano la comicità dello spettacolo, interattivo e a tratti vicino ad uno stand up comedy act.

Maximum of 9 minutes to pay
Tickets purchases by credit card must be completed within a maximum of 9 minutes,
if you exceed this limit, the seats are made free for purchases of other customers, however if you
complete the purchase and the transaction in a longer time and the places selected are still free to
