19/10/2024 from 22:00 to 23:05 Catania (CT) Centro Culture Zo Sala Verde“DIDO” è una performance solista multidisciplinare dal coreografo e performer di Istanbul Korean Basaran che riflette il mito di Didone e Enea utilizzando element idi danza, teatro, nuova musica e proiezioni video, per esplorare i temi del desiderio umano, della frustrazione e del cuore spezzato.
In collaborazione con la composizione originale di Tolga Yayalar e il design delle proiezioni di Ataman Girisken, Basaran porta il pubblico in un viaggio nel profondo della mente di Didone mentre si innamora e viene poi distrutta dal suo stesso desiderio e dalla sua lealtà.
Il linguaggio è un’estensione del movimento mentre il corpo di Basaran si ammorbidisce, esplode, si abbassa, si nasconde, e accusa, mostrandoci come la mente di Didone afferri la consapevolezza del suo tradimento. La storia di Didone è stata riscritta da Basaran con ispirazione dall’Eneide di Virgilio e dalla Didone di Christopher Marlowe.

Maximum of 9 minutes to pay
Tickets purchases by credit card must be completed within a maximum of 9 minutes,
if you exceed this limit, the seats are made free for purchases of other customers, however if you
complete the purchase and the transaction in a longer time and the places selected are still free to
